Originally from Europe, Alena moved with her immediate family to Texas in 1997. After finishing high school, she entered the field of dentistry as a dental assistant, becoming a certified RDA in 2004. Her love of learning drove her to also obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from UTD. She truly enjoys every aspect of dentistry and proudly shares her passion and previous experiences interacting and serving patients. From a clinical assistant to an office manager, Alena has done it all with such grace, professionalism, and compassion.
As a Front Office and Patient Care Coordinator, Alena has been a valuable member of our Dr. James Barnes family since May 2017. She loves forming trust and lasting relationships with our wonderful patients and goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable, welcomed, and informed. Alena has a way of making everyone she meets feel like family. The addition of her to our team has brought warmth, love, and the feeling of being home while at the office. When she is not making everyone feel special at the office, her happy place is the outdoors. Cycling, spending time with family and friends, and walking her dog Rex are just some of Alena’s favorite things to do.
Amy has been an anchor at Dr. Barnes office since 2006. After relocating from her home state of Florida, she found a lifelong home away from home with the Dr. Barnes family. Formerly an endodontic assistant, the move to general dentistry complimented Amy’s friendly personality and desire to get to know her patients on a more personal level. From chairside assisting, running the office inventory, and assisting the front office, Amy is a multitasker that wears many hats. The office flourished since the addition of Amy and her incredible ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. Amy strives to give each patient a peaceful and seamless experience from the moment she greets them. Her love for her patients is only surpassed by her love for her blended family.
Married in 2016, Amy’s family grew in numbers and love. Even more now with the addition of her first grandchild. Raising her children in Anna has been a huge blessing. She truly enjoys the connection and support a small town like Anna offers. Amy is a crafting ninja, whipping up all sorts of creative masterpieces. When she is not busy creating for her business, LOts of LOve, she enjoys traveling, baking, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ana’s desire to help and educate people regarding the importance of good oral hygiene lead her to pursuit a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree at the University of Tennessee. With over six years of dental experience, Ana became a beloved member of Dr. Barnes dental family in 2019. She works hard to provide a safe, comfortable dental experience conducive to building healthy smiles and lasting relationships with patients. Her calm manner and unwavering patience transcend even the most nervous and reluctant patients at ease.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Ana moved to Memphis while high school and stayed in Tennessee throughout her college years. Eventually she put down roots in Texas after marrying a native Texan in 2016. More recently they moved to Prosper and are enjoying the new traditions they are creating with their young family. Ana has two beautiful, fun, and spirited girls who always keep her on her feet. As a self-declared foodie, Ana enjoys eating out and trying new foods. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as catching up on the latest shows.
Mollie’s positivity, dedication, and desire to always lend a helping hand makes her an incredible asset to the Dr. Barnes family. After graduating from Collin College with her RDA in 2016, she worked for an endodontist. Less than a year later Mollie was hired as the office’s second assistant filling the need as the practice grew. Immediately we knew we had found someone special. Mollie is hard working and a joy to be around. Her generous heart shows in her passion for our patients and her family. Just a year before finishing school, Mollie embarked on an adventure. Moving from Fort Worth to McKinney and blending two families into one, Mollie was led by faith and has been blessed in return. Her family of four became a family of nine and growing. Welcoming a granddaughter shortly after.
Mollie spends much of her time with her husband, kids and serving her church. Her home group, Girls of Hope, are an important part of her life. No matter what Mollie is doing, music is always close by. You will often hear her beautiful voice singing along with the music in the office. Singing, dancing, spending time with her family, hopping on her Peloton, and all around having a good time is what makes Mollie happy.
With over 30 years of experience in the dental industry, Nancy’s love of dentistry grew while receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in the Dental Hygiene program at TWU. Her enthusiasm to help people achieve a healthy, beautiful smile shows in everything she does. Her compassion and positivity create a comfortable atmosphere for every patient, especially those timid of dental visits. Her passion for dentistry resonates through her joy for life and wealth of dental knowledge she shares to educate and empower patients. That joy contributes to her patience and dedication to her trade as well as for her family.
Married over 41 years, Nancy has a loving family which includes her three sons. A proud boy mom, her life has grown richer over the years with the addition of their wives and grandkids. When she is not working, she is busy doting on her six grandbabies and four fur babies, traveling, and working her magic in the kitchen. Nancy makes the most delicious homemade bread. It is a favorite at the office and at home. You can also find her gardening at their home in Celina. With land and space to roam, Celina was where her boys grew up and where the adventures continue with her grandkids. Nancy’s genuine kindness, patience, helpfulness, and laughter make her an integral part of our James Barnes DDS, PA family!
